It is estimated that the volume of internal cracks in the ore produced by blasting, handling, and especially crushing is 2% to 4% of the total volume of the ore. The pore volume naturally occurring inside the ore varies greatly, depending on the origin of the ore and the degree of weathering after mineralization.
