According to the source, these operating systems are required by the newly designed "RPG" series of river-river tankers ordered by Belgium-based Plouvier Transport NV and its subsidiary Intership AG. Shell Trading Rotterdam will lease these newly built vessels. All ships will operate mainly on LNG power.
It is understood that although the hull of these ships will be built at the CENTROMOST shipyard of the VEKA Group in Poland, it will be carried out by the VEKA Group Werkendam Shipyard in the Netherlands. The first three vessels will be delivered to Plouvier by the end of the year.
