According to the latest statistics from the Taiwan Machine Builders Association, Taiwan's export value of tool machine tools reached US$3.596 billion in January-October 2012, a year-on-year increase of 9.2%. According to the data, Taiwan's machine tool exports in June were 357 million US dollars, up 8.4% year-on-year; July exports were 397 million US dollars, up 12.7% year-on-year; August exports were 382 million US dollars, up 5.3% year-on-year; September Export value was 384 million U.S. dollars, up 20.3% year-on-year; October export value was 342 million U.S. dollars, down 1.8% year-on-year.
Among the top ten export market for Taiwan’s machine tool products, China’s mainland ranked first, with an export value of 1.23 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for 34.2% of all exports, an increase of 2.8% year-on-year; the United States ranked second, with an export value of 443 million U.S. dollars, accounting for exports. 12.3%, a year-on-year increase of 68.0%; Thailand ranked third, with exports valued at US$226 million, accounting for 6.3% of exports, a year-on-year increase of 59.6%.
