Tianjin long-distance passenger vehicle equipped with passenger temporary safety staff to eliminate potential safety hazards

The “8·26” particularly serious road traffic accident in Bao'an Expressway in Yan'an, Shaanxi Province, sounded the alarm for the national long-distance passenger transport system. Recently, the Tianjin long-distance passenger transport department has launched a new measure of “temporary safety personnel” for each long-distance vehicle on the basis of a comprehensive inspection of the safety of passenger cars, eliminating the potential safety problems of long-distance passenger vehicles in all directions.

After the occurrence of a particularly serious traffic accident in Yanan, Shaanxi, August 26th, the long-distance passenger transport department of Tianjin immediately carried out a large-scale vehicle safety inspection. According to the current regulations, all 400 km or more lines are equipped with two drivers, more than one thousand kilometers. The driver of the line is to be equipped with three drivers, and the driver of the rotation rests on a responsibility called a safety supervisor who is responsible for supervising the other driver not to experience fatigue.

However, we have seen that in actual operation, the driver’s fatigued driving situation still occurs from time to time. Therefore, in order to more directly supervise the operation of the driver, the Tianjin Long-distance Passenger Transport Department has recently issued a provisional security officer’s provision in conjunction with the public security and fire departments. In other words, each long-distance bus must designate a certain number of passengers to volunteer as temporary security officers in accordance with the time of travel. The security officer must ensure that the two-hour shift is performed once. The duty of the temporary safety officer during driving is to maintain a sober state. The driver is always reminded to prohibit driving fatigue. When something happens, such as a fire, he must first wake up the passengers and organize the passengers to evacuate.

In addition to the interim safety measures, the Tianjin Passenger Transport Department also stipulated that in the event of high accidents between 3:00 and 4:00 a.m., it also stipulates that long-distance running buses should be temporarily parked between 2:00 and 5:00 a.m. and all long-distance passenger cars in Tianjin are now available. GPS satellite positioning systems have been installed, and 3G video systems have been used to perform real-time monitoring of vehicles operating outside. According to Tianjin Transportation Group, they have decided not to introduce new sleeper buses in the future, at the latest four years later. The sleeper bus will exit Tianjin's passenger transport market and will be replaced by a large-angle semi-lying aviation seat luxury bus. This vehicle will sit for two purposes and the distance between seats will reach one meter, and the safety will also be greatly improved.
