Siemens successfully won the Norwegian offshore wind power order

As the limitations of onshore wind power construction become more and more obvious, more countries or companies are turning their attention to the offshore wind power market. At present, Siemens has successfully won orders for Norwegian offshore wind power projects with a total contract value of 500 million pounds.

Offshore wind power is an effective supplement to the comprehensive utilization of wind power. Because most of the onshore wind farms are located in remote areas, the comprehensive construction cost is high, and the external transportation is not easy, which is easy to cause waste of resources. However, offshore wind power is generally located in coastal areas, with developed economy and perfect power facilities. . At the same time, the demand for electricity is high, and there is wind power consumption on the spot. Therefore, offshore wind power has increasingly become the focus of wind power construction.

Recently, the Norwegian National Oil Company said that the company has granted two 561 million pounds to the Dudgeon offshore wind power project in the British side of the North Sea.

Norwegian National Oil said in a statement that Siemens will be responsible for the construction, supply, assembly, commissioning and service of the 676 MW wind turbine, in which construction work will begin immediately and the first turbine will be installed in January 2017.

The company said: “Once the operation begins, wind power plants can provide renewable energy to nearly 400,000 households.” Norwegian National Oil holds 70% of the shares in this project, while the government-controlled Norwegian State Power Company has the rest. 30% equity.
