In January-February 2013, printing equipment imported 342.62 million U.S. dollars, up 0.53% year-on-year; in January-February 2013, printing equipment exports were 240.77 billion U.S. dollars, up 8.38% year-on-year. Affected by rigid demand for downstream food and beverages and books, magazines, and magazines, the accumulated sales revenue of the printing machinery industry increased by 2.8% year-on-year in 2012. It is predicted that the printing machinery industry will maintain a slight growth momentum in the second quarter.
Affected by the Spring Festival in the first quarter, the demand for automation products in the printing machinery industry decreased slightly in the first quarter of 2013, but the API (User Purchase Index) was 103.6, indicating that the user demand in the quarter was picking up slightly. The traditional offset printing format is becoming larger and large-format offset printing equipment has been launched one after another. The requirements for product refinement and quality stability are higher. The demand for automation and intelligent equipment in the industry is increasing day by day; digital printing has begun to receive attention.
