Kefude Electromechanical delivers two 36 MW generator sets

It is reported that Kefude Electromechanical Co., Ltd. has delivered the first two large 75-ton 36 MW generator sets specially designed for the British Royal Navy "Elisabeth" class aircraft carrier to meet the power requirements of the ship's propulsion motor.
These generators are a major component of the two new 65,000-ton aircraft carrier electrical systems, and the company has designed an innovative integrated full power system (IFEP) and propulsion system. Two 36 MW generators are built in Rugby and will supply power to four 20 MW Corfude advanced induction motors. These generators will be combined with the MT30 gas turbine delivered by Rolls-Royce to form the power system before final installation. These systems are installed on destroyers, frigates, aircraft carriers and logistics support ships.
