According to reports, Bridgestone purchased the radiation device for the purpose of detecting the tire tread metal foreign body through X-ray film.
The principle is that the thickness, material and uniformity of each surface of the tire can cause differences in the degree of X-ray absorption.
The ray device is intended to be installed on the second inspection platform of the third inspection workshop of the Bridgestone Tianjin plant. Within 100m of the inspection room, there are no sensitive targets such as hospitals and schools.
In addition, the non-destructive testing work is carried out in the lead-shielded room of the system, and the exposure doses of the professional and the public are lower than the constraint value.
After testing, this equipment meets the requirements of "Property of Practice" in radiation protection in "Basic Standards for Protection of Ionizing Radiation and Radiation Sources" (GB18871-2002).
