Anhui Agricultural Machinery Subsidy Will Boost Agricultural Mechanization

On January 12, the reporter learned from the Anhui Agricultural Machinery Work Conference that, under the strong driving force of the agricultural machinery subsidy policy, as of now, the total power of agricultural machinery in Anhui Province has reached 56.57 million kilowatts, an increase of 4.6% over the previous year. The level of comprehensive mechanization of crop cultivation and harvest in the province reached 62.6%, an increase of 1.8 percentage points year-on-year, higher than the national level. Last year, the annual amount of machine-cultivation, machine-seeding and machine-receiving operations reached 70.24 million mu, 37.01 million mu and 52.34 million mu, respectively.

According to reports, along with the advancement of mechanization in wheat production, the level of mechanization in weak links such as rice and corn has been further enhanced. Last year, the province's mechanized rice planting was 6,244,000 mu, and the mechanized harvest of corn was 4,330,000 mu. Mechanized rice planting levels and mechanized harvesting levels of corn reached 18.5% and 31.7%, respectively, an increase of 5.1 and 1.8 percentage points from the previous year. In the province, the number of advances in rice planting for mechanization and planting reached 196, and the number of towns and towns where the level of mechanized cultivation exceeded 30% reached 81. The number of rapeseed harvesters reached 3,571, an increase of 1,718.

The purchase subsidy policy is the main driving force for the development of agricultural mechanization in Anhui Province. Last year, our province implemented a total of 780 million yuan in subsidies, subsidized 170,000 sets of equipment, benefited 130,000 households, and stimulated farmers and agricultural production and operation organizations to invest nearly 2 billion yuan. The number of large and medium-sized tractors, combine harvesters, and transplanters in the province amounted to 145,000 units, 114,000 units, and 13,700 units respectively. The scale of the Agricultural Machinery Cooperation Organization has further grown. At present, there are 6,361 agricultural machinery operation service organizations in the province, among which 1,283 agricultural machinery professional cooperatives registered in the industry and commerce departments, an increase of 406 over the previous year. The agricultural machinery and equipment manufacturing industry has further developed, and a number of agricultural machinery manufacturing enterprises, such as Chery Heavy Industry, which have relatively strong competitiveness in the country, have emerged, and the total number exceeds 100.

This year, Anhui Province will strive to achieve a total farm machinery power of 57.8 million kilowatts, a comprehensive mechanization level of 64.6% for cultivation and harvesting, and a 23.5% and 39% mechanization for rice cultivation and corn harvest, respectively, and 1650 professional cooperatives for agricultural machinery.
