Activation treatment of titanium dioxide--mechanical activation method (encapsulation method)

Russian Academy efficient cooperation with materials developed by Beijing Pan-titanium white powder surface modification process of mechanical activation method to overcome the conventional physical treatment of high temperature and pressure, dust and so disadvantage, which is a new, energy-saving, environmentally friendly processing method . In this method, titanium dioxide is coated on the fine core material (heavy calcium, kaolin , calcite , barite , talc, etc.) by mechanical activation at normal temperature and normal pressure. By coating a layer of titanium dioxide particles on the inexpensive core material particles, not only the expensive titanium dioxide is saved, but also the role of titanium dioxide is fully utilized. Since the core material and the coating titanium dioxide crystal are combined by electric charge, the uniformity and stability of the titanium dioxide powder treated by the mechanical activation method are ensured.
As the consumption of plastics increases, the demand for titanium dioxide increases accordingly. At present, there have been some reports on the application of mechanical activation in the treatment of titanium dioxide in coatings, but the application in plastics has not been reported. Therefore, we have tried to apply this mechanical activation method to treat titanium dioxide in plastics. For the effects of plastic coloration, dispersion properties, rheological properties and mechanical properties, the feasibility of using mechanical activation to treat titanium dioxide instead of traditional titanium dioxide was explored.
